Valley Adventure Foundation runs lean. There are no paid staff. Every donation is used directly for program delivery.

Underwrites an entire program season — 6 outings for up to 20 families.
Valley Adventure Foundation is a California nonprofit public benefit corporation. Our federal 501(c)(3) tax-exempt status application is currently pending IRS review. Until the IRS determination letter is issued, donations may not be tax-deductible for federal income tax purposes. If approved, the IRS typically grants exemption retroactive to our formation date — but this is not guaranteed. Please consult your tax advisor.

- Employer matching — many employers double or triple charitable gifts. Reach out and we'll walk you through the paperwork.
- Donor-advised funds — grants from a DAF can be directed to Valley Adventure Foundation once our 501(c)(3) is issued.

Financial transparency
As a California nonprofit corporation, VAF files an annual return (IRS Form 990-N or 990-EZ) and California FTB Form 199 and Attorney General Form RRF-1 each year. Financial summaries and board minutes are available to donors and grantmakers upon request. Copies will be posted to our Impact & Financials page as they are completed.
